About the Event
Respecting the role of culture within the counseling relationship is of critical importance for honoring the American Counseling Association’s (ACA) guiding values of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Infusing multicultural competency within ethical practice for clinical settings, school systems, private practice, and postsecondary education is about skillfully honoring how cultural factors may impact the decision-making paradigm. This experiential workshop discusses the utility of the Transcultural Integrative Model to address ethical dilemmas, reviews the steps of the Transcultural Integrative Model, and applies the model to ethical dilemmas in several practice settings.
